He doesn't like "mushy" talk

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
My friend and I have been good friends for about a year now. I've known he's had feelings for me somewhat but he doesn't really show it as much. We hang out a lot, but I'm scared to get really close to him because he doesn't like girls that are too "mushy." We've even became best friends, where I can just sleep over his house and do nothing but talk all night. He has respect for me. He told me that he has never really asked a girl out, the girls mostly come to him. Its hard for both of us to express are inner feelings for eachother.

RomanceClass.com Advice
If you are such good friends, then you should be able to share very intimate feelings with each other. That includes how you feel about each other and other "mushy" stuff. He is holding you away from him with that opinion about open and honest conversation. You have to find a way to break through his reluctance to be honest. Do any of your friends have the same problem with their guys? If so, that might be a good way to bring the subject up with him... present the problem as something another couple is trying to resolve.

Good luck,
George
