My girlfriend told me that for some reason she thinks of me as a brother and not as a boyfriend, what can i do to reverse this mentality of hers?

It sounds like in fact your relationship is doing well. That love-lust-rush of new love doesn't last forever. It's not supposed to. And then you start thinking of each other as best friends who you care a lot about. That's normal. The stages of a relationship are here -

so maybe she's confused because she things the head-over-heels is supposed to last forever, and now that it doesn't, you're "just a brother". It's the other way around. Because you two lasted together long enough that you don't NEED that rush to hold you together any more, you're now more settled in with each other, trusting, and you're like family. Because of course the hope that most people have when they date for long enough is that they WILL become family :)
