the guy i am seeing i've known for about10years,and now we are going out as bf and gf those feelings are alot more intimate and i've been told by numerous amounts of people that he feels i am "the one"... how do i know what i am feeling is real or just young love? I say i love him because thats how i feel but my mum says that i havent really experienced life to know that he's the one i really want to be with. from 18yr old girl

RomanceClass.com Advice
At 18 you should be able to distinguish between love and not love. You may not be experienced enough to make a life long commitment based on how you feel now, however. Some people fall in love many times before they find the right person.

Your question doesn't suggest to me that you are head over heels completely in total love with this guy. That makes me think that you may love him but not as strongly as you need to before making a commitment.

So, trust your feels and also listen to your mum!

Good luck,
George
