Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
Ok so i think your advice is good. But what do i make of this (the girl with the boyfriend of 2 1/2 years who recently got the shaft)


I texted him today and asked him if he was doing ok. Also, I told him I went to detox, and am now going to outpatient rehab. So he texts me this back:

"I am doing fine... I just don't want to go through that again...please take care of yourself... I really want to be friends in time.."

So that's that... what should I make of this.. like u said try to slowly be his friend and show him how much I have changed or what? Thanks for the help!

This is great progress!

Give it another week or so and contact him again to ask how he is doing and letting him know how you are doing.

He is probably not ready for more than once a week, so keep it at that for at least a month and hopefully by then he will feel more comfortable talking with you.
