i broke off the relationship and told her to call if she wanted to take responsibility

Visitor's Question from a 41-50 year old Male
I began dating a woman who had been married for 23 years..she divorced a year ago..im only the 2nd man she has ever been with period..we hit it off good..chemistry,sex.. whole nine yards..both agree its great..been going out 3 months..she now tells me i make her feel like she is married again..she would like to still date me exclusively but with no responsibility towards the relationship..she travels alot..and says she doesnt want to have to feel like she has to call me when she is out of town....i feel like that is a fundamental part of the relationship..we talked about everything calmly..i broke off the relationship and told her to call if she wanted to take responsibility..i think i stood up for myself..please give me your opinion.

RomanceClass.com Advice
It's your life so it's your call.

Issues like these overlap a lot of other issues. If a couple has too many issues, the relationship is in tough shape.

Yet, I myself would not break off a relationship without first trying to work out the issue at hand. You approach is "my way or the highway" which is also not a good thing for a relationship.

Good luck!
