Was I rude or mean by not speaking

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
my situation is I've known this guy for about 4 years now we were off and on. I got pregnant just last year which happened to be while we were together. I came clean with him and told him and he told me to get an abortion. I didn't get an abortion and ended up marrying my childs father. During the time I was pregnant I would tell him like little things about the baby and he'd always be like okay thats good or congratulations. Now on Sunday I ran into him at the local gas station. In which he was pumping the gas I sat in the car the whole time and let my brother pump my gas. So anyway before he got in the car he said hello and I just looked and asked how he was. He hesitated to get in the car as if he was waiting for me to say something else. I said nothing so he drove off later that day I sent him an email complimenting his car and i told him the reason i didn't get out was because my child would have had a tantrum.... So i told him that if i were to see him again i would make it my business to get out and speak to him so he was oh yeah that would be good. (ok) Was I rude or mean by not speaking

I don't think you were rude or mean.

You were just taken by surprise and had to worry about your child. It was nice that you sent an email to him to explain that.

Congratulations on your baby!
