We went back to the bus and laughed and joked more on the way home...

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
Heres the deal...

I have known this girl for about 2 years now, and I have slowly become more attracted to here lately. The big problem is she lives just over 2 hours away and neither of us can drive. She comes up each summer to spend it with her grandparents and we usually hang out at the fair with other friends. The first time I saw her this year was in June at Indiana Beach on a trip with a local church. We saw each other few times except for the ride home on the bus where she sat in front of me. I did some random things like played with her hair and her little sideshow prizes... Also at Taco Bell she asked me to share my tacos and I agreed. We went back to the bus and laughed and joked more on the way home...

The next time I saw her was late July at the 4-H Fair. I didn't see her the first few days but the day I met up with her, we played catch with a football early in the afternoon, then later in the evening when my other friends left I found her and we hung out. We can laugh easily around each other and I thought I was making a connection because I would do little things to her like mess with her hat and such. Here comes the really confusing part...

During that night(10:00ish), we were hanging around te bleachers and she decides to go get some food so I go with her and we talk and laugh some at the tables and when her neighbor friend walks up to get some food and is waiting, she turns and stares at us. My friend sorta stands up and says "It's not him I like( pointing to me)... I like somebody else here." Her neighbor sorta smiles and giggles, then leaves... We hung out till I had to leave..
The next day she shows in the Fair and I sit by her and wait and we joke and yadda yadda... Later after she is done showing, we break off and go hang out with other friends. When she and a friend were walking by a group of friends and I, her friend calls me over and says, "Will you go out with XXXXXX... She really likes you and likes to be with you" ( all the while XXXXXX is sorta sorrowful looking with a laughish look on her face). I said what she said the night before but she kept asking throughout the week.

I saw her friend alone, and she came up to me and said, at least ask her for AOL or MSN... I didn't get the guts to.

The next night, during the Master Showmanship Constest(raining hard), she eventually got bored and wet so she went out to jump in the mud puddles. I came up on her and joined her... We laughed and jumped hysterically for about 30 minutes to an hour. She asked me if I was going to a dance after the show and I said I'm not sure.. She said she was going till 11 p.m. This has been the last I've seen her.

I did recently get the nerve to call her grandparents and talked to her shortly... I got the nerve to ask her an AOL or whatever and she said she was getting AOL soon. I gave her my cell number and asked her to give me her name as soon as she got it. We talked a little longer and thats the last I have heard of her.

P.S. She is going home in less that a week. 2 hours away!!

RomanceClass.com Advice
Build up your courage and give her another phone call and ask her what was going on at the picnic area when she told her friend that you were not the one she likes. If she has another boyfriend then you should back off.

Take advantage of the week to go out to a movie or something and you might find out how she feels about you. Ask her if she has email. Ask for her phone number at her home town. Try to find some way to keep in contact with her.

Good luck!
George
