I love her, but I can't live with the pain of thinking she has been with someone else!

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
My girlfriend (the mother of my only son), had wrote letters in a notebook to some guy that she works with, that said things about how she thought he was handsome, and how she misses him, and how she can't do this anymore because it is tearing her up, but these letters were never torn out of the notebook, and when I asked her about them she said that it was all just a fantasy, and this was a simple crush she had on this guy, and that it is now over. Have you ever heard of anyone doing this? I have asked her to take a lie detector test to see if she has been cheating, but she said no, because they are not accurate enough, and she is afraid it will read wrong and things will get even worse than they are. I don't know what to believe, but in the 4 years i've known her, I can say that she seems like the type to cheat on me. What should I do? I love her, but I can't live with the pain of thinking she has been with someone else! What do people normally do in these situations?

RomanceClass.com Advice
What people do is make up their mind (perhaps after seeing a counselor).

They decide to believe their partner or they decide not to.

Then they decide to stay with them or not.

These aren't easy questions to deal with, but that's what you have to do.

Hope it works out for you!
George
