He assures me every day that I have nothing to worry about, but I just can't get over my jealousy

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
I know a lot of people have jealousy issues, but mine are really out of control. I have been dating my guy for almost 5 years. He is the most amazing guy ever and has no jealousy issues when it comes to me. He has nothing but respect for me and my friendships with other males. For me, however, I am totally jealous of any and all females that my boyfriend is in contact with. This is very hard because he is an aspiring actor where he has to spend lots of time with beautiful females, sometimes even sharing intimate moments with them due to the script.
He assures me every day that I have nothing to worry about, but despite everything I just can't get over my jealousy. It is ruining my life. I am upset everyday about one girl or another. He is not allowed to have even one female friend without me giving him s**t about it. I hate making him feel bad about his friendships when I have plenty of male friends, but I just don't know how to make it stop.
What can I do. I have read lots of books and have read through all of your online help, I've even researched hypnosis for this problem. I am at the end of my rope. I don't want to lose him. Please help!!!

RomanceClass.com Advice
Yes, you are sure to lose him if you can't control the jealousy.

What you are telling him is that you don't trust him. Trust is one of the most important elements of a good relationship.

With all the research you have done, with no success, my advice is to seek out a professional counselor who can help you conquer this nasty habit.

Good luck!
George
