Well me and my girlfriend have been dating a little more over a month now

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
Well me and my girlfriend have been dating a little more over a month now. I really like this girl alot she said she was falling in love with me and i believe we are falling for each other. But now i am afraid of losing her because i could see myself being with her for the rest of my life and i'm afraid of getting my heart broken. Lately i've been going through rough times and shes always there for me to talk too but recently I asked her if she thought we were going to be together forever. She replied "i'm only 14 right now, i really hope so" before she would always say she would love me forever and now i'm afraid because i've freaked her out with that question and i don't know what to do about it now. Please help me out here.

You are both too young to be pledging eternal love in a serious manner.

And, you haven't been dating long enough either.

When you asked her that question you made it too formal for her to react to. That is why she answered the way she did.

Don't worry about the question, just don't ask it again and things will be fine.

Good luck!
George
