My ex brought up the fact that I'm leaving to go to Virginia

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
My ex brung up the fact that I'm leaving to go to Virginia. I'm in the military and tehre is nothing I can do to stay. She says that she don't she would like going because I'll be gone 6 months at a time every 2 years. I'll only be on a ship for 4 yrs. She doesn't understand thats what I have to do and its not the same if I'm not there. Is she thinking about actually moving there with me or is she just pointing out that I'lbe gone 6 months at a time?
I tried telling her that we both would benefit from it. Not just me. Its just hard when a person only thinks of it one-sided. What happened to the caring and it doesn't matter as long as we're together thing? I guess some women don't think like that. Could it be that she is thinking about it?
She invited herself to come down there to help furnish my apartment. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? DOES SHE HAVE SOMETHING IN MIND? I think this is the reason why she doesn't want to take it further with me. I think she is scared of the fact that she doesn't want to get involved because I'm leaving.
What do you think?

The only way to find out is to come out and ask her.

It's hard to guess what she is getting at from what you said.

It could go either way.

Good luck!
