he wants to be friends for now, but i dont know if i should try to win him back

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
my ex and i were going out for a year and about 3 months when i moved 7 hours away. we decided to try the distance thing and he diecided it didnt work. we still talked and stayed friends. when i would visit we would hang out and he'd say he missed me. then he got new friends and during the summer, he went to japan (hes an exchange student and will be going back after highschool) he went out with his new friend for a week but broke up with her cause he found out i was moving back and because she would live in japan while he was in america. during summer we emialed almost everyday and hed tell me he missed me and that he couldnt wait to see me. when i saw him, we fooled around alittle and then i put a stop to that because we werent going out. he says he still likes this girl in japan a little bit and im not sure if he still likes me. he seems like it. he wants to be friends for now, but i dont know if i should try to win him back. when we went out, we were in love and i still love him. we talked about getting married and stuff like that and we said wed always be together (yes, i know thats far fetched im only 16) but i really do love him and i dont wanna lose him. i dont know if true love can be found yet and i dont know if i should let him go. what should i do? please help! thanks, a*

RomanceClass.com Advice
Since you love him, you should try to win him back.

He has no girlfriend and he likes you already so why not?

But when is he going back to Japan for good? Or isn't he?

My advice is to take it slow with him and gradually develop those loving feelings that you once shared.

Good luck!
George
