Well yesterday he said it wouldn't bother him if he saw me dating anybody

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
Ok I have written in here before about my ex, that we dated for 2 yrs 8 months, and now have been broke up 3-4 months. We still see eachother, he calls me and says he still loves me every once in a while, compliments me, kisses me and holds me and even more (we still act like a couple), etc, and also we are best friends.....so I thought if things keep going the way they are going there is a good chance we could work things out, right? There is no talk about us getting back together, though, we still talk like "what happens when one of us gets a boyfriend/girlfriend".

Well yesterday he said it wouldn't bother him if he saw me dating anybody, he said "Go for it A* we're broken up" and that kind of really hit hard and shook me up that maybe there isn't a chance...I am confused do you think there is?

RomanceClass.com Advice
Everyone has a bad hair day, maybe yesterday was his.

It was rather rude for him to say that and maybe he just wanted to see how you reacted. It could be a sign he is more interested in you.

Have a long honest respectful conversation with him and explain that you still love him and it hurt you when he said that. See if there are any feelings in him for you. You should be able to tell by how he talks.

Better yet, give him a week or so and then have the talk.

Meanwhile just relate as you normally do.

Sorry you are in this position.
Good luck!
George
