Every day we spent together was more wonderful then the previous

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
My girl and I have been going out for just over 4 months now. Every day we spent together was more wonderful then the previous. Im not looking through rose glasses here. Things realy were that good. She Is from eastern long island and comes from a great deal of money. Im a middle class guy. We talked about the economic differences and that was never a problem. The issue that has blind sided me is that she is a member of the EMS unit in Bridgehampton, and has told me that Because I am not in such an organization, I dont understand her. She says they are her family. With the classes she will be taking soon for that position she says she will have very little free time, and that she does not think she can give me the kind of relationship I need. This shift from "I love you, your wonderful" to this, happend in a span of about 1 week. She gave me the its not you its me speach, then took off for canada for a week with her dad. Im lost here. She never said anything about this before.

Apparently the rich do things their own way.

Sounds like she just changed her mind about you and then thought up a reason to break up with you. And perhaps the EMS course did have some affect on her thinking.

Not much I can say but these things happen and you just have to deal with them. File it away as one of life's wonderful memories that came to a crashing end.

Sorry this happened to you!
