How do I get over not being with the one I love?

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
Hi! My ex and I fell in love at first site over 10 years ago in college. We were officially together for about 9 months when I found out that he cheated on me. Over the years we have remained friends and although we live in two different cities, we see each other often and hang around the same people. Over the years we have both dated other people but we still hook up from time to time. He is currently living with someone who he has 2 kids with. But he still tells me that he's in love with me and wants to be with me (even in front of her). Up until recently, I thought I was over him but realized (quite painfully) that I am still in love with him also. How do I get over not being with the one I love?

RomanceClass.com Advice
If you really want to forget him, don't see him anymore.

He's telling you he loves you in front of his partner... how bizarre is that? No wonder you are falling for him again.

Keep in mind, that he is still cheating like he did on you. Is that what you want for your future? At this point it is doubtful if he will change.

Ask his help in getting over him. Tell him you are starting to fall for him again and you need his help to keep it from happening. If he likes you, he will try to help you.

Hope some of this helps!
George
