My boyfriend and I have been off and on for 7 years. After three years we broke up. He started dating another girl, but all the while was going back and forth between me and her for two years.
He finally ended it with her and we got back together, but they remained friends. My jealousy was out of control so he agreed to stop being friends with her. They haven't spoken for 9 months, and he says he's completely over her (although he has said that to me in the past).
My problem is, I'm completely obsessed with her, being jealous, comparing myself to her, wondering why he ever chose her over me.
Also several months ago she slept with one of his good friends. At first he said he didn't care, but I found out thru his e-mail that he was angry. He then told me he was but not at her just at his friend for doing that. He said that it was not about her at all, but because the friend told him he would never be with a friend's ex girlfriend. But that made me really upset because I wonder if he still has some feelings for her.
I harbor so much resentment and jealousy over the situation. How do I get over it?
