I am a nanny for three young children

Visitor's Question from a 31-40 year old Female
I am in a very unique position, or so I feel. I am a nanny for three young children and I escort them to and from school each day and accompany them to their after school classes. I found in the recent weeks that I am very attracted to the soccer coach of one of the children. I see him about three times a week when I am at the school and we just look at each other, sometimes say hello. I would really like to get to know him, but as it stands at the moment, I know NOTHING about him. I don't know what to do. I don't know if it is wrong to date someone who is teaching one of the children that I work with. I also don't know how to get him to notice me. I would ask him out only I don't even know if he is single. I do know that he is not married, but that is all. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

T

There is nothing wrong with your dating him if it turns out that way.

The thing to do is ask him out. That will get his attention (which you asked about). It will also give you a clue as to whether he is single or not.

If you want to know him better before you ask him out, do this: walk up and introduce yourself as ______ ______ the nanny of ______. He should give you his name. Thereafter whenever you see him say Hi _____ and ask him how he is doing. From there you will develop a rapport that will lead to the closeness that you need to ask him out.

Hope this turns out in your favor! George
