My best friend has had a crush on this guy for over a year now

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
Hey,

My best friend has had a crush on this guy for over a year now. She is a Sophmore and he is a Junior and they have a class together. Last year he found out she liked him. They are both in Ag and the whole Ag Department found out. Which was embarrasing for both of them. She had done some pretty weird things to get his attention like grabbing him and saying hi and writing him notes. She is really shy so she freaked out! Over the summer some crap happened online that involved her and him. We were at this one friends house and "this one friend" tryed to get someone to find out stuff about him and than appoogized for it he said he had to go to work and had to get offline. Um than it ended up in a huge mess. She sent him an IM apology for everything but we dont know if he got it. She still likes him but I dont know what to tell her. I dont think he hates her cause she told me they make eye contact in class but she is afriad to try and talk to him because of what happened. And they have never talked. I dont think she should write him a letter because he might have forgotten what happened and that would just remind him and make it all worse.I would lovefor them to date someday but they have to talk first. So what do I tell her to do without making it all worse. I think she is indimated by his friends. Oh and he is always hanging with people. I.E. he is never alone which makes it hard. So what should she do. She told me she likes no other guy.

Sincerely,
C*

RomanceClass.com Advice
It is very difficult to give advice second hand. I really need to hear from the girl herself.

Having said that, my advice is that she try to regain contact with the boy again. Do the simplest thing first: she should look him in the eye and say in a clear voice "Hi" plus his name everytime she sees him. Pretty soon he will feel comfortable in her presence and they might strike up a relationship.

Hope this helps some! George
