We are just 2 people who talk to each other once in a while

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
okay,

The girl I like is one of the "cool hot girls" and I'm an "ugly fat goth"

we've known each other for 12 years (we are both 14 so that is a long time and our parents are friends). And i dont think we are even friends yet. And i've been trying my HARDEST to be at the point in the friends stage where i can ask her out. but it's not working, we are just 2 people who talk to each other once in a while. A few days ago we talked alot just about random stuff and i thought that i was really doing good, but after that, nothing.(we sit together in history but outside of that we dont talk)

I'm not the best talker either, im shy, but once i get talking i start to come off as weird cause i get too confident, but i plan out what i say b4 i say it so it cant be that.

I saw her laughing and playing with another guy, but when i started talking it was like she was on her period, thats what i can compare it to

and since shes one of the popular girls, i worrie shes a "girl player" (i dont know what language i could use here but you get the point)

if i can get her AIM name, it would help, but i cant just comeout and ask for it, then i make it to obvious

thanks,
this is more to vent then for advice, there isn't much that someone can say, other than for me to either give up or see if she wants to go further

RomanceClass.com Advice
You need to talk to her more.

Start off with the simplest approach: whenever you see her, look her in the eye and say in a clear voice "Hi" plus her name and give her a big smile. Do this often enough and she will feel comfortable talking with you at any time.

Don't expect this to work overnight. You will feel good about yourself and be more prepared to talk to other girls if this one doesn't work out.

Good luck! George
