I still love him very much and wish we could be together but I know he loves her

Visitor's Question from a unknown year old Female
I have emailed you on many occasions in reference to me and my ex boyfriend who have been seperated from each other since February. We have not talked that much until two months ago he called for us to be friends. He has had a girlfriend since we have been broken up, so I didn't want to be his friend because of that situation.

But after ten months of not seeing him or really having that much conversation with him he calls and we hook up. He told me before we hooked up that he and his girlfriend were broke up he didn't say how long. So, we had sex which was very awkward for both us of us, and now I feel stupid because he has informed me that they are back together. He told me they cut the relationship off because she was going away to school and he didn't want a long distance relationship.

My question is even though I knew they were going to patch things up should I still be his friend? I still love him very much and wish we could be together but I know he loves her and I'm not out to have someone hurting like i was when he left me??

Should I still pursue him at all?

RomanceClass.com Advice
The last time you wrote with pretty much the same question, my advice was to keep him as a friend since friends are hard to find and also so you would be nearby if he needed you.

Since you are asking the same question, I assume you do not want to be his friend. If that is your gut feeling then you should listen to it. This way you will cut the ties that continue to be painful for you and allow you to move on to something better.

Good luck! George
