He just doesn't do normal things a guy should do

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
I'm 16 years old and I've been dating my boyfriend, 16 yeard old, for about 3 and a half months, but we were best friends for about a year before that. Ever since we have been dating, he hasn't shown much that he is into me. Though he says he likes me and wants to continue to be my boyfriend, he just doesn't do normal things a guy should do. We don't hold hands while walking, he doesn't want to hold onto me, and we still haven't been intimiate yet. we haven't made out, etc...It's hard for me to find words to explain to him that I need somne sort of attention, and all my friends have just told me to talk to him about it. But, the problem is, I don't want him to feel embarassed or get upset about it. What should I do?

RomanceClass.com Advice
You may not like this.

You are going to have to take the lead in these things. Grab his hand when you are walking or wrap your arm around his waist. Cuddle up next to him. Give him encouragement when he responds... tell him you like it when he holds your hand or whatever.

If you want to kiss, you might have to kiss him first. He is obviously a shy person and it would be a favor to him to make the first moves.

You may wish he would do these things himself, but telling him you want him to is probably not the best approach. Although it could work.

Good luck! George
