Does this guy like me or is just a wierd friend?

i'm friends with this uptight, not shy, geeky guy
who i did like, but not so sure anymore
anyways, i'd like to know if he likes me
we don't talk as much as we used to (online i mean), we can't talk that way, b/c he likes to talk a lot, but i can't imagine he likes to type that much
and he once said that he really enjoys talking to me, thinks i'm awesome, and wants to hangout
and it seems that i'm the only person that he doesn't have eye contact with
atmost it's only a glance
so that and the fact that he hesitates to say hi (like he's not sure that i would like him to say hi to me) and he's not shy so he wouldn't hesitate usually
so does this guy like me or is just a wierd friend?

He does sound wierd.
But he certainly does like you--he said you are awesome.
You can teach him eye contact when you meet in the hall. Look him straight in the eyes and say in a clear voice "Hi" plus his name and give him a big smile. He will begin to learn better social graces because you showed him how.
Perhaps you can teach him other things so he won't seem so wierd.
