But now that we live together we seem to be fighting all the time

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
I am 19 and my boyfriend is 29. We have been together for two years now and we even have a baby together. When we first got together our relationship was perfect. We never fought or argued or anything. But now that we live together we seem to be fighting all the time and it's always about stupid things that would never bother us before. I really do love my boyfriend and I could never imagine myself with anyone else and I know he feels the same about me. Why are we fighting so much now that we are living together? Is there anything we can do because we do not want to be apart from eachother. Please help!!!!!

RomanceClass.com Advice
There is a very easy way to stop the arguing... YOU stop arguing... just agree with him. That is not going to work all the time, but it should stop a lot of arguments.

Another way is for both of you to use a signal to the other that a fight seems to be in the air. Use the peace symbol or Spock's fingers. Sometimes a fight will stop once you realize you are about to.

Try writing down the day, date, time of every fight into a notebook. Then you can look back at it and see if there is a pattern whether weekly or monthly or it might just be a day of the week.

Good luck! George
