Wants to finish education

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
Dear romance class,

Ijust started talking with my ex-boyfriend again yesterday by text messg. I asked him if he missed me honestly and i didnt get a reply back. what does that mean? we broke up in september and was together for about 3 months because i have this rule about not having a boyfriend during the school yr. But before we were together we use to spend alot of time together and have alot of fun but after we made it official that we were boyfrind girlfriend everything just cooled off we hardly saw each other and this was during the summer. we saw each other more during the time we actually had things to do we messed around for 5 months before we mad it offical. There is also a big age difference between us he is 9 yrs older then i am. But he always respected my decision. i know he loves me and i love him too. I olny broke up with him because i wanted to finish my education not because i dont like him. I just want to know what can i do to find out how he feels about me and how to even hold a conversation with him like what should i say?

First, congratulations for putting your education first!

As far as your ex ... you should be treating him like a friend.

Don't ask him how he feels about you because you broke off the relationship. If you want to tell him first that would be ok.

I hope you know what you are doing with such an age difference. Is this something you are hiding from your parents. I hope this turns out well for you. Good luck! George
