He doesn't want a girlfriend it is too much stress

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
About a month ago i was shopping with my friends at american eagle, and i saw this really cute boy, so i grabbed a shirt and asked him how it looked on me, and he said it looks good it bring out the color of your hair. so my friends were like well he is back in the changing room, so i grabbed a shirt and asked him if i could try it on..and he said yeah, so i came out to get his opinion and he wasnt out there anymore..so i changed back into my orginal clothes and went back out and asked him how that one had looked, he said it looked good too..so then i put it back came back and said i have one more question..and he said whats that? and i said what ur phone number..and he gave it to me...so about 3 days later i called him and we talked and then hung out at my schools basketball game..he asked me out that night...we seem to have gotten along...but see he lives about 30 minutes away from me..and he broke up with me 9 days later on new years night..and he said because he needs a break and cant drive out here all the time. We still talk on the internet and sometimes on the phone, but everytime i call him he says he is too busy or cant talk right now, and says he will call me back..but he never does.....and i was talking to him online the other night and he said he still likes me, but he doesnt know why we cant be together right now, and i asked him why, and he said because he doesnt want a girlfriend it is too much stress...then i asked him, "so we WILL get back together, just not right now, right?" and he said right.
so what do i do? does he like me or what? what should i do?!?! i need to know...and i tell him how i feel about him all the time and he says he knows what i feel like...i really like him soo much and dont want to lose him, and i want him back, is there anything i can do to win him back sooner???

RomanceClass.com Advice
Right now he doesn't want to be your boyfriend.

In fact, you are having trouble just being a friend.

Try backing off and giving him space.

Call him once a week and tell him you just want to talk for 15 mins. Ask him how he is doing, tell him you still care about him. Be cheerful, don't talk about your relationship. This will give him space and give you the contact you need.

Hope this works out! George
