He doesn't know he is confused

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
Well me and my ex broke up a mth ago b/c he was flirting with this girl and i didin't like it so i kept talking to him about it he told me that i took it out hand when i call he didn't pick up his phone so he picked it up i broke up with him and i called himback he told me that he didn't want to try that it was over i took that sh*t hard like doing crazy stuff b/c i loved him he plays all these games he flirts with me but he said that it didn't mean anything that he was just having flashbacks and he told all my friends that he fell out of love with me and he didn't tell me after the fact no communication and i hate that why he couldn't tell me i was mad at him and i still call him and he will make me mad and say dumb sh*t to me and we would argue he doesn't like to talk about our breakup at all but he calls me b/c i like this other guy and he was kinda jealous he told me that he wouldn't be jealous he happy for me if we go out but me and that guy didn't work out at all but he check up on me but i think he like me b/c what ex would check up on u and see how you doing i did everything to get him back but he doesn't know he confused but if he didn't care about me like he said he wouldn't call me everyday but he did that before and said there nothing between us well can u give some advice it so hard to move on though

One confusing thing is whether you are done with him or if you still like him.

In either case you can try the following:

tell him he can only call once a week to find out how you are doing. Both of you should be cheerful, avoid discussing your relationship, and keep the call to 15 min. This will provide both space and contact to each of you.

If he asks what you want this, tell him that you are trying to get over him.
