Is there any hope or should I give up?

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
So I built up the courage and asked out my friend. She shot me down. She is on the rebound and said she was not intereted in dating right now. I asked her if she could ever see us going out in the future she said not really. I am really sad right no. What do I do know. She said we can remain friends. The problem is eveyr time I see her is gonna remind me that I can't have her and then I feel like sh*t. I want to know what I do from here. My main question is is there any hope or should I give up. Her exact words were she's not interetsed in us like that. Then I asked if she could see us dating anywhere down the line and she said not really. Based on this i wanna know the chances of us ever getting together. Should I still be her friend. It is so hard to do.

Congratulations on getting up the courage.

Too bad it turned out the way it did, but at least now you have closure.

I think you can believe her when she says she doesn't want to date you now or in the future. You should look for a new girl and don't continue being friends with the old one because it makes you feel so bad.

Good luck! George
