I know that I will be really hurt when we break up

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
I am wondering whether i should break up with my boyfriend. We have been going out for over a year but have broken up once and got back together. He broke up with me really hurting me. I love him and think he loves me, however we are both at college at the moment, when we when he talks about his life after college he doesn't seem to see me as a part of it. Although i haven't directly asked him whether he will want to stay together after we graduate, as don't want to scare him at the moment, but he talks as if we will break up and lead completely seperate lives.

I am trying to decide whether we should stay together till the end of college, as when we are together we are really good, even if there is no future after college. Or should we break up and then maybe i would find someone i have a future with. I know that i will be really hurt when we break up, but don't know whether it would be best to be sooner or later.

RomanceClass.com Advice
Before making decisions talk with him.

Have a good heart-to-heart conversation with him sometime when you are alone and have time to spend talking. Be honest, trusting, and loving. Be gentle in you manner because this is a very important talk for you.

Mention that he never seems to include you in his plans for after college and you wonder why. His answer will give you a better idea of whether you want to stay with him or not.

Your decision should also factor in how much time you have until graduation as that would make a difference.

Good luck! George
