Lately I have been dreaming about an old girlfriend

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
I have been dating this girl a little over 2 years ago, and I have been fantasising about other women. I have a 5 month baby girl with her, so I'm scared to leave her because I want to be apart of my babies life, and I dont want her to take her away or hit me with child support, but we always fight and argue about the littlest things, and I cant stand living with her anymore, and lately I have been dreaming and thinking about an old girlfriend i dated 4 years ago. Does that mean something with me and this old girlfriend? What should I do about my girlfriend now? Please help me.

The best way to stop arguing is for you to stop.

You are concerned about the arguing so just refuse to participate. If she starts an argument give her the peace sign and smile. Of course she will accuse you of not being willing to talk about important things.

Tell her you would be happy to discuss important things but only at the right time and place... like after dinner or while doing dishes and the baby is sleeping. When she says something stupid just say "I don't understand why you are saying that."

Both of you may get tired of this. Some couples like to argue whether they admit it or not. OK, schedule some arguments then. Say Tuesday and Thursday we argue.

Good luck! George
