In my opinion, the only way to not freeze up everytime you talk to her is to practice -- prepare maybe one simple sentence, and then listen to her response, and then just try to go with the flow. You don't always have to say something awesome or amazing -- just normal talking would probably go fine!

I think it's a big compliment to you that a girl three years older than you connects so well with you, even if it's just as friends. The age difference seems very important, in high school, but less and less so as you get older.

Well, I think you just hit the nail on the head when you said, "...she's afraid she'll be made fun of because of the age seperation."

I think you are right about that, and I think that, unfortunately, she would get a LOT of hassle from the kids her own age for going out with a freshman, even a very mature one.

I'm not saying it's fair or right, I just mean that's usually the way it is, in high school. frown

Hi & welcome Terrancestreater.

I think that Pudgie's mom is right ~ it's difficult for an older girl to date a younger boy during the school years.

It may happen for you, but there's every chance that it won't.

It's probably made even more difficult as you are still a minor and she might be classed as an adult.

Even same-sex friendships between different year groups may be looked at as odd during one's school days.

Thankfully it changes after that.

Good luck! smile

You are interested in two girls.

Ask one of them out ~ the one you want to ask.

Then you will have sorted out your options and will be able to deal with the results.

I hate to say this, but if I'm not mistaken, when she turns 18, she is considered an adult and you are a minor. Could create problems for both of you.

Yes, that's what I was thinking ~ I wondered if it might be over 16??
