Does anyone else write themselves notes in their homes to remeber to do things?
This is one I just wrote right now and hung by the door:
STOP! Do you need to take the recycling, water bottles or thrift store donations?
This is b/c my recycling isn't curbside and I need to take it into town. Also gallon water bottle refills are only 25 cents instead of buying new bottles at the water company.
What notes do people leave out for themselves? Anything inspirational, organizational, reminders?

I just do lists. If I really need to remember to take something I put a sticky on my keys.

BLR, like lists of things to pick up shopping, or errands to run?

oh I have shopping lists, things to do while I am out, things to do in the house. I get great pleasure crossing things off my lists. So much so that if I do something that is not on the list, I will put it on the list so I can cross it off.

BLR, I know exactly what you mean about loving to cross things off, and loving lists. I post my to-do lists even on twitter and as facebook status updates, just so i can feel accountable. I love feeling like I got a few things done. Sometimes I feel like a list slave.

The reason I like my lists is because there may something on my list that I really want to get done. I get busy with this, that and something else (ADD) and by the end of the day - its "oh darn I was gonna ---" well the lists help with that. I at least feel like I make a decision to blow if off, rather than just forget.

I have a tendency to just carry things over from one list to the next, and some things never get crossed off. I hate it when i do this. I always make a list with the best intentions but i think i overshoot my time and ability to get things done! Today it was very helpful to have my reminder note on the door to bring out the recycling and put the empty water jugs in the car for refilling. So that is working well!

i sometimes have list and when i need to remember them i put them in the center of my TV. so if i am feeling lazy enough, i can see the sticky note pad and remember what i need to do.

LOL, Peepers! I guess a note on the tv is not easy to miss. Good thinking. I also keep sticky notes of various things i have to get done for the week on the window near my desk.

BLR lol!~ I do my lists the exact same way! If I do not get to something, I cross it out with x marks, so I know it will go on the list for tomorrow. THings I got done, I check it and draw a line through it. I love my lists. I don't see how anybody can ever get things done without a trustee list!

Aside from lists, everyone, do you ever tape yourself up little notes for any reason?
For example, I have one up to remind myself of my goals to be peaceful and serene.
Do people put up reminder notes, or notes with goals on them?

The only notes I use are MUST REMEMBER items. Those notes I either put them on my keys, on the front door or on my steering wheel.

I remember Lisa telling me to make a note for myself saying something like, "Be Happy!"
I think I should make something like that again. Where should I put it to see it - it would need to be apart from the zillions of to do lists that are out and about.

Yes I'm definitely a strong proponent of feel-good notes. The world is not necessarily going to help you feel good - it's in your own hands! I have a "125!!" note on my bathroom mirror to help me focus on achieving a healthy weight My cell phone message says "smile!" - it's amazing how your body reacts to your facial muscles smiling. Studies prove it really does release stress, just to smile.

Lisa, that sounds helpful!
I know putting up those pretty little signs from the dollar store that say Peace and Happiness, with nice Chinese characters, is a big help to me.
I also have a wall in my bedroom covered with little cards and notes people have sent me with words of love and caring, to remind me that people find value in me as a person.
Then there is my 'did you take the recycling?' note on the front door.
I have my post-it to-dos on my desk.
I need to come up with a goal note, and a note that reminds me to be happy. I need to come up with some kind of goal, then, and figure out how to say it.

True, it's so easy to forget to see things one they've been up for awhile. That's kind of frustrating.
