Garden State is the story of Andrew Largeman (Zach Braff), a young man who has been on antidepressants and psychiatric therapy for most of his conscious life. He's had no chance to live normally, as his doctor's mind altering drugs have kept him deadened to the world emotionally while keeping him sane. When he returns to his hometown for his mother's funeral, he meets a girl who brings to life all of what he's missed over 4 days while he's in town. This is a spectacular movie and it's pretty flipping hilarious too.
