Giving too much useless information
Usually, if you partner is lying, they will give a lot of information that is completely useless and irrelevant. For instance, if his phone rings and he says it's a friend (uses his name, someone you are familiar with) and then proceeds to say something like, "Oh he's calling because...blah blah blah", then more than likely he's compensating and trying to convince you it's really his friend when it's not.
