It's always important to remember that every person has multiple aspects to their personality. They are not 100% a single way. Someone might be shy, except when they're with their best friend. They could be very talkative with their best friend. Another person might be very rational except when it comes to their pet parakeet. They might be completely loyal to their parakeet beyond all rationality.
Even if you are mostly one trait, always be open to the other parts of your personality.
