(Lauren* and I both were involved with someone. She was on a break with her boyfriend with the terms that they can,t hook up with anyone else.)
Sometime after midnight, we both got drunk with Craig*, a friend of both of our boyfriends. He remained mostly sober, but we were both drunk. One thing of course leads to another. The next morning, Lauren realized she blacked out. I had to tell her everything that had happened and she was relieved that she did not have sex. We all swore to tell no one.
The same day I saw my boyfriend. He was upset that I had hickeys on my neck, and I attributed them to Lauren. Later, he asked me if I cheated on him with Craig or if I did more than just make out with Lauren. I told him "No." every single time he asked me from that point on. I didn,t want to put Lauren or Craig in trouble as well.
Lauren admitted to her boyfriend, 2 months later, that she had hooked up with Craig while they were on a break, but left out the fact that I was there. They are on yet another break. Craig and her boyfriend are no longer friends.
My own relationship ended 3 months after the incident, and we,re not on speaking terms. He still has no idea. I honestly wish I had told him I cheated on him with Craig and Lauren when he asked the first time. I,ve had breakdowns and flashbacks every time I,ve gotten drunk since then.
Now that we,re no longer together, I,ll never have the opportune moment to tell him despite how guilty I feel.
Just don,t cheat. The after effects are not worth it, whether you tell or not.
