I'e found this works in a party setting. When you're sitting beside a cutie you want to get to know, slowly move your leg/knee/foot over to just be touching his while he's chumming it up with his buddies. It works best when it seems more like an innocent, harmless body contact.
If he doesn't move his leg from beside your leg, it's a pretty good sign he's into you too :D Keep your leg there for as long as you can.
This is how I met my gorgeous guy at a friend's birthday party. He didn't know me at all before I tried that move but pretty soon after we were all alone in the upstairs bedroom ;) .
