I found that love is a gamble and it takes two people to make it work. And sometimes it doesn't work out because the other person is not ready for you or vise versa. Breaking up is extremly hard especially if it is the other person who is doing the breaking up because they feel that it is in your best interest and maybe for theirs. I always use to believe in the butterfly effect. If you let them go and they come back then it was meant to be. If they don't come back than it was never to be. I agree with the method only becasue I have seen it happen. To give you a little bit of hope, he or she may not return to you right away. It maybe days, weeks, or even years for a person to come back to you. I do believe in love and I do believe a person who loves you will come back to you. I have proof with my parents 14 years of being divorced and now they are getting remarried. I have had men come back into my life when I was not even thinking about them but by than I knew that they were not for me. I do have hope that one day my true love will come back and claim me. So never give up. Live for yourself and for the hope of you one and true love will come back too you. Say it every day until he or she comes back. Tell yourself ten times that he or she will call or whatever you want them to do. I believe it will come true. I believe words have power and they can change you. Don't say you hate them and you don't love them. Remind yourself that you do love them and you want them back. I know that I am and I am going to continue to until he comes back to me. So be positive and patient they will come back.
