Acknowledge when an issue cannot be resolved
Some issues are simply very important to both partners, and both have set values. This might be a view on capital punishment - one partner might feel strongly for it, and the other strongly against it. If you have discussed an issue many times, and cannot come to agreement, it might be time to "agree to disagree". Acknowledge that you hold differing views on the topic, and that you respect each otherīs views, and that life will go on.
