You already have music in common, which is a universal language. Just because she plays the violin, doesn't mean that she sits at home listening to classical music. In fact, I had a friend in high school who played in the orchestra and listened to nothing but rock/metal music at home. You'll probably find that you both have plenty in common, especially since you only live 1/2 hour away from eachother (you can relate when it comes to where you grew up/current familiar surroundings).
