Original Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female ok theres this guy at school and he tells me all the time that he really likes me and i tell him that too, over the phone but im a VERY shy person when u first meet me and we have been in class together now for almost 6 weeks and im really funny and outgoing on the phone but hes so upset that he always has to beg me just to hug him in public and i really honestly want to but i freak out and then that makes him think that i don't like him and tonight we had a conversation on aim about how he doesn't think we need to go out ever because i have such an awful way of showing him how i feel and i really really do like him and he got mad and signed off and i really want to fix this because he makes me so happy and i find myself sitting up all night just waiting for him to call and now i feel like ive lost everthing please tell me what to do i need help desperatly i want him back before he starts thinking about someone else!!!i just can't physically show him how i feel cause im scared to and its making him mad cause its just a simple hug so i feel stupid! User Submitted Advice from a 13-20 year old Female don't change for anybody Speaking from experience of being shy, I would say that you should talk to him and let him know that you are shy and if possible try finding a place that doesn't really have a lot of people around and hug him there. Be easy. After that, you will begin to become comfortable with him and it shouldn't be so big of a problem. Tell him how he makes u feel and that you don't want it to be over just b/c you are shy. Please note that if he cannot accept you for you then that is a big problem. Every human being is so unique and special and you do not have to change for anybody.
