The main issue is that she is 27, and I'm 22

We often have visitors write in with solutions to each others' problems. Here is a visitor's solution to one of our visitor's questions.

Original Visitor's Question from a 31-40 year old Male
My situation has become really complicated. She is my best friend and Im crazy about her, we have almost everything in common, we even have the same occupation. The main issue is that she is 27, and Im 22. She told me in the beginning that im too young although I never asked her out. The truth is, afterwards she fell for someone who was a year older than I am. Recently things have changed, she told me that I am basically one of the hottest men she has ever seen, that I am close to being a model, yet she gave me an example of her ex, which was, asking him to change something about the way he looked and then she dated him, she told me to change something too. I will list a few more pointers to make things short:
1- Were attracted to each other
2- We are perectly each others type aside the age difference
3- I told her once I was going to ask her out but I didn't and she was really flattered by the thought.
4- SHE SAYS I SOUND LIKE HER EX, we talk the same and sound the same.
5- we keep telling each other that we love each other in a friendly way.
6- She's only ever dated twice.
7- She thinks Im like the perfect gentleman.
I just want to start showing her that im a man of her type and not a child, and that dating me would be worth it. I could really use your advice and I thank you in advance.
