I received an unsolicited 'Sorry, not interested' email from her

We often have visitors write in with solutions to each others' problems. Here is a visitor's solution to one of our visitor's questions.

Original Visitor's Question from a 51-60 year old Male
We had been dating on/off for about 6 months. Things were getting rather serious when we split. After 2 weeks of not speaking to each other, I received an unsolicited 'Sorry, not interested' email from her via an internet dating site. So, does she or doesn't she want me in her life?

Sorry this happened to you

I have to concur with the one who said "she doesn't", and while I'm all in favour of direct answers, my style would tend to be more ease into the harsh truth.

There's a very obvious NEON SIGN you received, so I'm wondering why you even have to ASK if she wants you in her life or not.

Reverse it: if you were nuts about a woman, would you email her to say 'sorry, not interested'? What kind of person does that?

I'm sorry this happened to you. It's of little comfort at the time but she did spare you in the long run. What an icy little meanie! Grrrr..
