She is so gorgeous and I am not good looking at all

Original Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
I'm 16 and I'm in high school. There's this girl in my last class period and she is the most wonderful, amazing, beautiful girl I have ever met. Actually, I have been in love with her since 7th grade, close to the beginning, and we are both in 11th grade now, half way through it. She is good friends with one of my friends and all 3 of us are in this class. My friend doesn't know I like her so much and the only reason I ever talk to her is because I'm with my friend while he is talking to her. I have caught her looking at me across the classroom once or twice and when I catch her eye she looks away quickly. She used to sit in front of me and when I talked to her she would be turned around looking into my eyes and smiling. She laughs when I do something stupid or when I'm trying to talk to her and I choke on my own words. I met her at her job one night and just she and I talked for about 30 minutes about pretty much everything and it was the best night of my life. I really want to tell her how I feel but it's very hard to catch her alone and when our mutual friend isn't around, and even if I could catch her, I know I would chicken out like I have been doing for 4 and a half years. In 7th grade I got my sister to ask her to dance with me and she replied "If he's manly enough, he will ask me himself." I'm very shy and I didn't end up asking her and she is so gorgeous and I am not good looking at all. What should I do?

User Submitted Advice from a 13-20 year old Female
Don't be a punk

First, This is very sweet. But honestly stop being a punk. If you like her tell her. You'll never know until you tell her. She may like you. If your to shy to talk to her, write her a note and put it in her locker or slid it to her on your way into class one day or after class. In the note tell her how you fell about her and tell her that you have had a crush on her for the last 41/2 years. Give her your e-mail adresses and you cell or home number and go from there. I promise it gets easier after you tell her how you feel. You never know she might feel the smae way about you and could be just as scared as you to tell you how she feels. I look forward to hearing from you and hearing about this.
