My husband's always fighting with me

Original Visitor's Question from a 31-40 year old Female
OKAY, MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN TOGETHER FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS. WE HAVE HAD ARE UPS AND DOWNS, BUT HER LATELY IT'S GOT SO BAD. I'M NOT EVEN SURE WHERE TO START AT.

WELL IT STARTED ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO. SEE, MY HUSBAND IS ADDICTED TO DRUGS. I KNOW OF A FEW THAT HE IS ADDICTED TO, AND I KNOW ABOUT MORE DRUGS HE TAKES THAT HE DOSEN'T THINK I KNOW ABOUT. HE HAS MOOD SWINGS AND YELLS A LOT. I DON'T KNOW IF HE CHEATING OR NOT. SOMETIMES HE ACTS LIKE HE WANTS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME. HE GETS SO MAD SO EASY. HE SAIDS THINGS TO HURT MY FEELING AND ACTS LIKE HE DON'T EVEN CARE. HE SAID HE HATES IT WHEN I CRY, BUT HE ALWAYS MAKES ME CRY. HE SAID THAT MY FEELINGS GET HURT TO EASY. AND HE NEVER THINKS THAT HE DOES ANYTHING WRONG, AND THAT IT'S ALWAYS ME.

I UNDERSTAND IT TAKES TWO TO FIGHT, BUT I HATE TO FIGHT. I LOVE HIM TO MUCH TO LEAVE, I COULDN'T MAKE IT WITHOUT HIM. I DO EVERYTHING I CAN TO MAKE HIM HAPPY, AND IT SEEMS THAT IT STILL DOESN'T WORK. I GUESS IN HIS EYES I CAN'T DO ANYTHING RIGHT.

MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR ALMOST 1.5 YEARS NOW, BUT OUR RELATIONSHIP HAS BEEN ON GOING FOR ALMOST 4 YEARS. WHEN I FIRST MET MY HUSBAND I WAS ALMOST 17 AND HE WAS 21 YEARS OLD. HE WAS SMOKING POT, DRINKING AND HANGING OUT WITH TERRIBLE FRIENDS. FOR SOME ODD REASON, ME BEING A GOOD TWO SHOE WAS AUTOMATICALLY ATTRACTED TO THIS HELLRAISER. HE WAS SUCH A POTHEAD THAT WHEN HE WAS SMOKING HE WAS EITHER YELLING AT ME, PUSHING ME, OR COMPLETELY IGNORING ME. HE CALLED ME NAMES, HE TOLD ME I WAS WORTHLESS, AND HE COMPLETELY TORE ME DOWN AS A PERSON. I STARTED DOING BAD IN SCHOOL, NOT GETTING A LONG WITH MY PARENTS AND EVEN ATTEMPTED SUICIDE SEVERAL TIMES. DON'T ASK ME HOW IT HAPPENED, BUT I STUCH WITH THIS MAN, TOOK HIM TO CHURCH, GOT HIM OFF DRUGS AND AWAY FROM HIS FRIENDS. IT WAS THE MOST DIFFICULT PAIN I'VE EVER ENDURED, BUT THIS COMPLETELY CHANGED AND I FELT GREATFUL FOR STICKING WITH HIM. HE IS AN INCREDIBLE FATHER TO OUR 10 MONTH OLD SON. HE COOKS,CLEANS, AND IS AN INCREDIBLY HARD WORKER. WE ARE BOTH PROUD TO SAY THAT HE HAS BEEN DRUG FREE NOW FOR 2 YEARS AND WE ENJOY A GLASS OF WINE TOGETHER EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE. DON'T GET ME WRONG EVERY NOW AND THEN MY HUSBAND CAN BE A PAIN (VERY STRONG TEMPER THAT HE UNFORTUNATELY INHERITED FROM HIS FATHER), PLUS BI-POLAR RUNS IN THE FAMILY. HOWEVER WE GO TO CHURCH, SEE A MARRIAGE COUNSELOR AND GO OUT ON A DATE AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. OUR FAMILY IS SO STRONG NOW. I HOPE AND PRAY THAT YOU CAN PULL THROUGH. MY ONLY ADVISE IS TO PRAY AND STICK WITH HIM. GO TO CHURCH, SEE A COUNSELOR. IF NOTHING WORKS AT LEAST YOU KNOW YOU TRIED AND HE FAILED. GOD BLESS YOU!
