Original Visitor's Question from a 13-20 year old Female Hi I'm 15 yrs old..and I have this big prob that I really cant seem 2 solve... I have a crush on one of the popular boys in class...and it started way back last year. We met last year and he was very nice 2 me once we know each other...some days he would talk n joke with me and made my days! But it all ended last September...he got 2 know I like him some way or another...98% sure. And at that time the rumour is that he's interested in one of the most popular girls in school who happens 2 sit near him in class. When he somehow KNEW I like him, he turned completely away from me. He's a very outgoing and fun person so I wouldn't think of him as shy.. He has never talk 2 me more thn absolutely needs 2...and avoids everything that has 2 do with me. Once he saw my friend holding a mag that I'm positive he would want to borrow, but when he knew it was mine he just turned away and I was hurt. I did try to initiate things like sending him personalized birthday card on his birthday...but he never did reply. But sometimes when I kind of flirted or chatted a lot with other boys he would go totally silent and unsmiling. He looked like he was jealous, but I'm not really sure... His positive signs are so subtle until sometimes I think I'm imagining things. When I tried 2 talk 2 him he would just answer my question and avoid. When I talk 2 him he wouldn't look at me in the eye and avoid eye contact totally. But when we wren't talking like when we sit almost side by side in lab he glances almost frequently at me and looked at me for my reaction whenever I'm called 2 give an answer. He is so cold 2 me...yet he is great with the other girls...maybe I'm sending him mixed signals so he's confused too...but it's so difficult 2 talk 2 him...and he always act awkward around me. My friend said when I gave a group presentation 2day he look at me a lot like he was very attentive 2 what I was saying and nodded as if trying 2 understand and also smiling away. I'm so confused. He keeps avoiding me and yet gives me positive signals like glancing at me from time 2 time and other little subtle signs. What do I do?
