Yes, there might be a few people who don't quite appreciate your dreams and goals. That is OK. We are all different. This is the day to smile at their odd jokes, to nod when they say something they think is funny, and to enjoy that turkey or pumpkin pie or whatever your chosen treat is. We all have our little quirks.
If you really get stuck with a grumpy person, count to ten. It's a cliche, but it works. Go for a walk, go read a book, find someone else to talk to. Live your life, and find your path to joy!
