She got some kind of disease

Suggest Advice

Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
Sorry George, I know I'm suppose to wait for your reply, but something has happened between ne and B*. I dunno what was it, but it jst happened and she decided to cut all contact with me. I can't find her, dunno where she is, I guess I should probably give up. Is that a good choice though? And I need some advice, its about me and A*, we are mates now and there's 2 problems.
Lately she discovered she got some kind of disease which causes her to hurt ligaments a lot, like it never heals back. She's pretty sad after she knew that, that means she can't dance anymore, her feet can't handle the pressure. I don't know how to cheer her up. I just wish God can help her, she's born to be a dancer, how could this happen to her?
And she wants to talk with me all the time, that's good but there's 1 thing, she always wants me to talk a lot, like I'm the person asking the questions and stuff, do u have any advices on what to talk about? Coz I know a lot about her already...

P.S. thanx for helpin me, and if you haven't answered my last e-mail, it doesn't matter

Our Suggestion:
Bad things happen to good people.

You are doing your best to make her life more cheerful and that is a good thing. Just being there to talk makes her feel better I'm sure. It's too early for her to be able to take much initiative in the conversation.

So you are left to figure out how to entertain. Does she want to talk about her condition or not? Here are some topics to talk about: family, relatives, friends, school, sports, activities, cars, world news, local news, music, videos, future plans, past history, books, computers, games, food, photography, money, clothing, trips, vacations, etc.

These could keep you going 1,000 years if you really care about talking over them. If these topics run out, you could even go back to a different geneation (100 years ago) when people would take turns reading books or poetry to each other. I've never tried it but it sounds like a possibility.

Good luck! George
