Visitor's Question:
Let me make this short and simple. I had this crush on this girl back in grade 9 (14 years old)Im 22 now. I never had the guts to step up to her at that time or later throughout these years. The following years she was in a relationship with the neighbourhood "showoff" and I think they maybe an item now even though they've had some break-ups and him cheating on her. We all know each other and we live in the same complex. For some weird reason I think she knows I have a big crush on her and he(boyfriend) knows it and he hates me and spreads rumours about me because of his jealousy towards me (having a bright future) and him being stuck in the moment. A wise man once told me "forgiveness is the act of accepting that the past wont be different" I think im faced with this dilema and need a third party assumption. Should I fight this war for her or should I let go call it a defeat???????

Our Suggestion:
I'm not sure where war and defeat come into the picture.

Here's an idea: talk to her and tell her you've had a crush on her for a long time and since she is an uncertain relationship with her boyfriend (or ex) you would like to sound her out on the possibilities of you two having a relationship.

There is a good chance that she won't or can't give you a try, but it's worth the chance. If you don't ask you don't get.

Good luck! George
