is my friendship worth more than my love?

Visitor's Question:
I can't figure out what this guy is trying to tell me!
We have been really good friends (not best friends, but ones who could talk to each other, and would hang out together on weekends), with this guy for 3 years now.
I didn't think of him as anything other than a friend until about 1.5 years ago. I realized that I had a crazy love for him.
For a while, I just ignored it, becuase I didn't want to ruin our friendship, and I thought it might be a passing crush. But it wasnt.
Around the beginning of this school year, he started acting a little weird. He would do things like give me a hug goodbye. We went to a school dance together as *friends*. Last night, we were at a party, and playing truth or dare, and one of his best friends told him he had to kiss me and he did. He still does normal friendly things like smile at me across a room, and walk around school with me.
However, he also acts like he likes this other girl, and will say things like "Did you see her sit down by me?" or smile at me when she give him a friendly hug (I know this girl does not like him in a Romantic way).

What does he mean? Is my friendship worth more then how I feel?

thanks

Our Suggestion:
You should move fast if you want to have him as a romantic partner.

Otherwise, some other girl may take him a way.

Tell him you are "developing feelings" for him and ask him how he feels about you. This will not be threatening and your friendship won't end.

It is better to ask than to never know.

Good luck! George
