I can't express myself!!!

Visitor's Question:
In most relationships you would think the girl is the one who expresses more than the man. In mine it is the complete opposite. I've been in love with this guy for 8 years as long as it was i was overwelmed when he finally asked me out this April. It's funny because i can't ever express how i feel to him. Infact most of the time he tells me he just wants to feel special and i never give him that feeling. I don't know if it's because i'm embarrassed or because it just feels to awkward. Anyhow since my problem we have small fights about it usually leaving us both very sad, and i feel like it's always my fault. He tells me i'm perfect, and that he wants to be with me forever, but i have my doubts. He says love is when you have none, and that i don't love him because i have doubts. I love this guy with all my heart, and i want us to stick together as long as possible. But am i wrong for wanting that? Am i really just holding him back from greater people, there are other fish in the sea...I want to get closer to him, make him feel and believe i love him. I just don't know how... *And by the way i'm totally new to this site so sorry if i posted the wrong question on the wrong page :(*

Our Suggestion:
Ask yourself whether your own family (especially parents) tell each other that they love and care for each other.

If your parents didn't tell you how good you are then you will have trouble telling your b/f how terrific he is.

Now practice saying outloud "I love you" and "You are special to me" once you have practiced enough then tell him. Do the same with other phrases. Also be sure to answer appropriately whenever he says nice things to you.

Practice makes perfect! George
